UAE Rugby on Wednesday announced the appointment of the Springboks Sevens legend Fabian Juries as Rugby Development Officer for the UAE Rugby. His job for the next three years will include introducing schoolchildren across the Emirates to the sport.

The UAE (United Arab Emirates) was established in 1971 and is a federation of seven states called emirates, which are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain, Ras Al-Khaimah, and Fujairah.
The Offices of UAE Rugby is in the emirate/state of Dubai.

The winger’s top try-scoring record (179) was in-tact for many seasons and was only broken by Seabelo Senatla earlier this year.

Coaching is nothing new to the speedster who, in recent times, coached at Herbert Hurd Primary school in Port Elizabeth, the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University as well as Eastern Province.

Fabian also took up refereeing and together with his WorldRugby7s Series experience, rugby in the UAE can only go from strength-to-strength.

Fabian Juries, during his playing days for the BlitzBokke was a popular figure in Dubai.
