The captains of the 16 international teams set to compete at the inaugural Emirates Airline Glasgow Sevens came together in the city centre to launch the eighth and penultimate round of the HSBC Sevens World Series. (pictured below)
While South Africa starts the tournament as defending champions, New Zealand (128 points) and Fiji (122 points) are the two teams vying for the World Series title.
The Blitzbokke will face hosts Scotland, Russia and Wales in Pool D at Glasgow’s Scotstoun Stadium this weekend.
