A day after the official launch of Ballz Visual Radio, Springbok Sevens skipper Kyle Brown had the opportunity to speak to host Darren Scott ahead of the Team’s departure for Glasgow and London.
Needless to say, BlitzBokke.com was on the Ballz and recorded the interview for those who missed it.
Ballz Visual Radio is somewhat of a revolution on the South African broadcast-media scene as it uses both audio and video on their internet-streamed radio station. Achored by the experienced broadcaster Darren Scott, the Ballz team includes John Walland, Simon Hill and former Miss South Africa Nicole Flint.
In the video below Scott calls the BlitzBokke “the best out of all our sports teams when it comes to keeping people up to date and using Twitter to keep the fans informed, the best marketing people around.” A treu fact (pun intended) as we provide live updates during tournaments, share fans’ pictures as well as keep the supporters updated with news about the team as well as the tournaments they play in.
What Darren does not know is that BlitzBokke.com was started about three years ago and is managed from abroad by a fan with the assistance of the Springbok Sevens fans from all over the world.
Conceived at the famous Hong Kong Sevens, BlitzBokke.com is also an interface for several dedicated social media platforms like Twitter, YouTube, Google+, Mxit, FaceBook, an iPhone App and Flickr.
