Hertz Sevens: Fixtures

With a new title sponsor on board, the inaugural Hertz Sevens will be held at Wellington’s Westpac Stadium on the weekend of 3-4 February 2012, as round four of the HSBC Sevens World Series.

South Africa has been drawn in Pool B together with England, the USA and the Cook Islands.

The Pools are:

Pool A: New Zealand, Samoa, Scotland, Japan.

Pool B: South Africa, England, USA, Cook Islands.

Pool C: Fiji, Wales, Argentina, Tonga.

Pool D: France, Australia, Canada, Kenya.

South Africa opens the 2012 Hertz Sevens in Game 1/24 against Al Caravelli’s USA.  With their improved form in the previous 3 legs of the Series, the Americans will come out in typical guns blazing fashion. The Cook Island (Game 9/24) will not worry Paul Treu too much while the final match of Day 1 bring the Blitzbokke up against Ben Ryan’s England (Game 21/24).

When planning your viewing schedule (below) remember that Wellington, New Zealand is almost half-a-day ahead of South Africa (+11hours). If you’re in Hong Kong like moi, add 5 hours. Click here to check the time difference for your city.
