Tickets to the New Zealand International Sevens went on sale at 9am this morning and by 9.03am were all snapped up.
The NZ International Sevens is the hottest ticket in town with demand increasing year on year, and those lucky enough to have a ticket will be treated to another fantastic event.
The tournament will be held at Westpac Stadium on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th February 2012.
NZ International Sevens General Manager, Steve Walters was thrilled supporters were as quick as ever to snap up tickets:
“We have seen in recent weeks the passion of rugby fans come alive which is exciting as we count down to the NZ International Sevens. It is sensational that even during one of the world’s biggest events we still have supporters eager to snap up tickets to the Sevens.
“We want to reward fans by continuing to step it up year after year to provide New Zealand’s best festival of rugby, culture and fun.”
All is not lost if you didn’t secure a ticket. 2012 will see the return of the cheerleading competition with 112 tickets up for grabs and a chance to truly support all 16 nations at the event. In its debut year, 45 teams entered with 16 lucky groups getting a chance to experience the NZ Sevens like never before. For more details check out the official website www.sevens.co.nz
