South Africa’s Sevens rugby team finished the 2010/11 season by winning two titles in succession, in London and Edinburgh. It was their third win of the season and the playmaker was Cecil Afrika. Blessed with a sublime set of skills, he was a shining light during the HSBC World Series and was nominated for the IRB’s Sevens Player of the Year after finishing the Series as the highest try scorer and highest points’ scorer. He was also part of the South African team that won bronze at the Commonwealth games in Delhi.
