As I was leaving the Marco Polo Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui on Sunday (actually very early on Monday morning) after an epic Hong Kong Sevens Awards Dinner, I had a brief chat with man-of-the-moment Cecil Afrika.
The Springbok Sevens player was sitting in the hotel lobby because that is where guests could access the hotel’s wireless broadband (for free I suppose). He was on his mobile phone using MXit to chat with some friends (SA is 6 hours behind Hong Kong).
To make a long story short, most South African access the internet via their mobile phones and MXit, that was started in Stellenbosch, is one of the most popular ways of interacting with friends online.
In an effort to build the BlitzBokke.com community even further, especially in South Africa, we have decided to venture into this social networking application.
