The Springbok Sevens stunned the England team (and several scribes on Twitter) by winning their Cup Semi-final against Ben Ryan’s men.
After an error-ridden first-half where they gave away two quick England tries (Norton, Rodwell), South Africa hit back through a clever kick by Branco Du Preez that sent Cecil Afrika over the whitewash.
Strong-running skipper Kyle Brown was not to be left out of the scoring-stakes, going over himself to give the Bokke the lead.
South Africa converted both tries (Afrika) unlike their England opponents.
With a few seconds left in the match (10 – 14) South Africa earned a penalty within kicking distance, with Afrika doing the honours.
England coach Ben Ryan was clearly frustrated when the referee called the match soon after.
South Africa will play Fiji in the Cup Final (00:15 SA-time).
