Two days before the start of the Emirates Airlines South African Sevens in George, BlitzBokke.com reported on a great cause that the Springbok Sevens Boys were supporting.
The BlitzBokke visited the Diepkloof Primary School as part of a great initiative by the Bobs for Good Foundation to kit out needy youngsters; not with rugby gear but with much-needed school shoes.
The Bobs for Good Foundation is a South African non-profit organisation born out of the need to restore dignity and pride to South Africa’s neediest learners by giving them a gift of hope – a pair of quality leather, locally-made school shoes to care for and call their own.
The Foundation has various sponsors who have come to the party to raise much-needed funds. However, we’ve just heard from Bob Skindstad (via Twitter) that there are also a couple of highly-motivated individuals who, as part of the CounterBalance Team, have taken it upon themselves to do something highly extraordinary to help the Bobs for Good cause.
The CounterBalance Team is in the midst of an amazing adventure uni-cycling 2,500 km over 44 days to raise funds for Bobs for Good.
All the best, Team CounterBalance!
