Unlike in 2008, when his “golden boot” saw the BlitzBokke take the Dubai Sevens Cup title in dramatic fashion, this time around the prolific kicker couldn’t help his team win the spoils in the desert city.

However, Mzwandile Stick, who had to deal with some desperate tugging of his dreads during the tournament, had some more heroics in his box of tricks. In the final seconds of the first game of the tournament against World Champions Wales, he produced a magnificent display of kick-and-chase.
