    Not much surprise in this game. Kenya gave away the game’s first try to the Tunisians, but soon afterwards regained the ascendency with a flurry of successive touch-downs.

    Half-time score: Scotland 0 Canada 33

    The first 4 minutes of the First Half, was ALL CANADA with a quick 3 tries!
    Scotland had a chance to score with seconds left on the clock. They lost possession though, and on the turn-over (listen to this) Canada’s DTH Van Der Merwe scored Canada’s 5th try.

    With 3 mins left, Scotland scored their first try. (33-7) and their second with 1 min.to go (33-14).

    Canada over Scotland… A mini-upset perhaps?

    Tonga scored the first try. With 1 min. to go, some indiscipline by the Tongans led to a penalty to AGRFU who couldn’t score.

  17. Opening Ceremony for the 5th Sevens Rugby World Cup is about to start!

  18. This must rank right up there as one of the WORST OPENING CEREMONIES ever! Mostly foreigners moving to Arab music. The commentators trying their utmost to highlight the “multi-cultural/multi-national” aspect of Dubai.
    Bernard Lapasset (IRB) opening the tournament with some Arabic and “Let the tournament begin” was arguably the sorriest of the ceremony.

    Agge Nee mense! Julle kan baie leer by Suid Afrika as dit kom by Seremonies!

    Ironically England is always the most popular side (next to HK) at the HK Sevens.

    Highlights:
    Kevin Barret (Eng): first Yellow card of the tournament (deliberate knock-down)
    Try 1: Mark Goosen (HK) (0-5)
    Try 2: Tom Biggs (Eng) (7-5)
